(CEP USM, 2024) Zubcov, Natalia; Zubcov, Elena; Ene, Antoaneta; Bagrin, Nina; Ciornea, Victor
Currently, the polyfunctional role of microelements in the metabolic processes of ichthyofauna (respiration, hematopoiesis, digestion, multiplication, increase or decrease of growth intensity resistance) is unanimously recognized, being also an indicator of the quality of fish products. The experimental investigations allowed the elaboration and implementation of the use of microelements-metals to increase the viability of fish in early ontogenesis, to increase the nutritional base in ponds, confirmed and protected by patents and which has essentially improved the technology of artificial fish breeding and served as an essential support in the development of fish farming. By using ICP-OES techniques for metals quantification, and tested regarding the impact of some metals and metalloids on the development of fish, their potential for the accumulation of metals, the concentrations of which are limited for fish products. It is also worth mentioning the redistribution of metals between different organs of fish in dependence on the intensity of growth and reproduction processes and fish health state. The highest concentrations of metals are recorded in the skin, liver and gills of fish.

(CEP USM, 2024) Zamornea, Maria; Erhan, Dumitru; Rusu, Ştefan; Gliga, Olesea; Botnaru, Nicolai
To establish the prevalence and diversity of infestation with parasitic agents, parasitological research was carried out on 759 chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) from the private sector in various areas of the Republic of Moldova during 2020-2023. Ectoparasites were collected from live birds, according to a new procedure, which is more informative (Luncaşu M., Zamornea M., 2007 and of classical methods after Dubinin M., 1955). The collected material was later examined with a magnifying glass MБC-9 (ob.14x2) and the mocroscope Novex Holland B ob. 20-40 WF 10x Din/20mm in the laboratory of Parasitology and Helminthology of the Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University. The obtained research results reveal that chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) are infested with 9 species of malophages (Eomenacanthus stramineus, Cuclotogaster heterographus, Goniocotes gallinae, Goniocotes maculatus, Goniodes dissimilis, Menopon gallinae, Menacanthus pallidulus, Menacanthus cornutus, Lipeurus caponis), 2 species of fleas (Cheratophylus gallinae, Cheratophylus hirundinis) and 2 species of gamasid mites (Dermanyssus gallinae, Dermanyssus hirundinis). The prevalence of infestation with ectoparasites - malophages constituted up to 100% of cases, with fleas - 39.0% and with gamasid mites in 72.0% of cases. The ectoparasitic polyparasitism established in birds is made up of different species of permanent parasites (malophages, fleas) and temporary (gamasid mites).

INFLUIENȚA RÂURILOR RĂUT, BÂC ȘI BOTNA ASUPRA COMPONENȚEI FITOPLANCTONULUI ȘI CALITăȚII APEI SECTORULUI INFERIOR AL FL. NISTRU
(CEP USM, 2024) Ungureanu, Laurenţia; Tumanova, Daria
The article presents the results of the investigations on diversity and quantitative parameters of planktonic algae in three rivers: Raut, Bâc and Botna, which are the tributaries of the Dniester River. In tributaries of Dniester River phytoplankton was represented by the four groups: Cyanophyta, Bacillariophyta, Euglenophyta and Chlorophyta. It was established that the biggest negative effect on the Dniester River influences the water coming from the Bâc River according to the quantitative parameters (number of species and biomass) of phytoplankton as well as the saprobity index of planktonic algae. The values of the saprobic index of this tributary fell within the limits of water quality classes III (polluted). The water quality of the Răut and Botna tributaries according to the values of the saprobic index, being assigned to class II (moderately polluted).

SOME PARTICULARITIES REGARDING THE INFESTATION AND DEPARASITIZATION OF THE ROE DEER (CAPREOLUS CAPREOLUS LINNAEUS, 1758), DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF STRESS REACTIVITY
(CEP USM, 2024) Rusu, Ştefan; Erhan, Dumitru; Zamornea, Maria; Toderash, Ion; Rusu, Viorelia; Gologan, Ion

One important factor in increasing the productivity and quality of peas (Pisum sativum L.) grown in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova is the phytosanitary control of parasitic helminthological fauna. The investigations were carried out in four administrative districts of the central areas, covering twelve pea sectors from various regions specialized in the cultivation of fabaceous plants. As a result of the helminthological protection investigations in peas, the parasitic degree was established for the first time, with comparative indices of number density ranging from 15 to 250 individuals per 100g of soil, and an abundance of 7–25% in spring. The frequency indices of the attack degree and extensiveness of helminthological affections showed more advanced values (5–30%) in the summer, varying across plantation areas. The structure of the nematode parasite complexes was determined, consisting of eight genera, including six families and one order, classified according to their trophic specialization. There was a predominance of endoparasite and semiendoparasite species from the Heteroderidae, Tylenchidae, and Hoplolaimidae families.

THE IMPACT OF MONO- AND POLYINVASIONS ON MEAT QUALITY IN COMMON CARP (CYPRINUS CARPIO LINNAEUS 1758)
(CEP USM, 2024) Gologan, Ion; Rusu, Ştefan; Erhan, Dumitru; Rusu, Viorelia
The research on common carp specimens revealed a varying impact of parasite infestation on meat quality. Group II, infested with D. extensus, exhibited an insignificant change in protein content compared to the non-infested group. Group III, infested with K. sinensis, experienced a 14.68% decrease in protein, while group IV showed the highest reduction (16.6%). Lipid content decreased, with group II showing a 7.26% decrease, group III 22.25%, and group IV the most significant reduction (42.86%). Moisture content and pH levels increased in infested specimens, reaching their peak in group IV. These findings emphasize the complex effects of parasitic infestation on carp meat quality.
