Abstract

An article about the new technological media arsenal is actually a study about the modern society, about the impact of the digital era on the community. This is not incidentally. Media, a crucial piece in the social puzzle, participates directly in the shaping of public area. In this paper, I shall present the upgrading process of the information collection instruments, and on this background I shall analyze the use of unmanned aerocrafts in the media institutions as an expression of the technological revolution and trend modernity. Moreover, I shall examine the context of their entry into journalism, but also the unique opportunities offered by the new technological achievement. I shall focus on the prospective developments of drone journalism. I shall also analyze matters relating to ethics and legal field of the drone use by media.
