The Republic of Moldova, as a tourist destination, is little known abroad, compared to the destinations of neighboring countries, yet the central and non-governmental authorities are constantly engaged in developing and strengthening the regulatory and promotional framework of standardized information packages, which would make the image of our country more attractive. OPORTUNITĂŢI DE DEZVOLTARE A TURISMULUI RURAL ÎN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA
    (CEP USM, 2021) Luca, Tatiana
Rural tourism in Moldova is growing in small steps but steadly. Although, we have a very high potential, unfortunately it is not used to its full capacity due to a large number of deficiencies. The biggest problems rural tourism faces are underdeveloped infrastructure, lack of information and tourism facilitie and paucity of investment in tourism. So its development is impossible without a favorable legislative framework without the direct state support and involvement. Tourism is one of the most important sector of an economy as it is seen as an engine of the national economy.
