This article contains a description of the solvency recognition of an insurance company assets and liabilities according to the new Solvency regime of Republic of Moldova. The main objective of the article is to apply the total balance sheet approach when appreciating the solvency indicators of a company.
This article contains a description of the new Solvency regime (Solvency II) of Republic of Moldova and of the European Union. Also it describes some key moments necessary when making the new solvency statements required by the National Commission of Financial Market, and there are presented the most important differences between the old
and new solvency regimes of the Republic of Moldova.
