The paper includes the data on saproxylic coleopterans collected in
the period 2008-2023, from various forest ecosystems including protected reserves in
the Republic of Moldova. A total of 240 species belonging to 184 genera and 46
families are included. Trophic preferences, zoogeographical distribution and host tree
of identified species, as well as those rare and harmful to forestry species are discussed.
The paper includes 76 saproxylic coleopteran species from 32
families collected in 2023 from the Scientific Reserve Plaiul Fagului. One species
Pycnomerus terebrans (Olivier, 1790) is new for Scientific Reserve Plaiul Fagului and
the Republic of Moldova. All species were collected from the decomposed wood. For
each species collection data and number of individulas are presented.
