Item Critical thinking in primary school pupils. A brief overview on standard and more recent perspectives(CEP USM, 2024) Nastasia Ungureanu, Anca-GabrielaThis article is intended to discuss a topic that is essential to the development and well-being for pupils’ worldwide – critical thinking. This analysis takes into account two perspectives: the standard mechanism and more recent reinterpretations of teaching critical thinking to children. Pupils need to be taught, from a young age, different techniques in an attempt to develop their critical thinking; with the purpose of helping them filter all that, they receive through the means of electronic gadgets. Well-known researchers such as Matthew Lipman, or Jeremy Harmer have their works enriched nowadays by recent researchers such as Ellen Galinsky in a desire to enhance the quality of studies in classroom contemporaneous dynamics. It is never too late for teachers to guide pupils in acquiring not only basic abilities, such as reading or writing, but also other life skills meant to help them filter, analyze, evaluate, and decide for themselves.Item ROLUL ȘCOLARULUI MIC ÎN PREDAREA-ÎNVĂȚAREA EFICIENTĂ A LIMBII ENGLEZE ÎN TREAPTA PRIMARĂ(CEP USM, 2024) Goraș-Postică, Viorica; Motfolea, Dana-MariaTeaching English as a foreign language in primary school for young students is a complex task for the teacher, and at the same time for the student, who believes that learning English is one of the most difficult subjects to learn. Language learning should be appropriate, more fun and enjoyable for the pupils to learn. The English teacher needs to have effective teaching strategies to make students understand English materials better in the learning process. And the pupils need to have the effective learning methodes in order to facilitate the educational process towards learning English. Due to the difficulties in learning English, it can make students lose their interest easily. This paper tries to solve this issue by showing that the role of young students from primary school is a key factor in the efficient teaching-learning of the English language. Many children are characterized by high and very high school anxiety. Children have a negative attitude to individual communication with the teachers. Many children have reproductive imagination. In the study a correlation is established between general anxiety and level of imaginationat school children.
