    In a globalized world, English proficiency is crucial for personal and professional success. Metacognitive strategies play a key role in effective language learning by enabling students to plan, monitor, and evaluate their progress, thereby enhancing competence, independence, and self-direction. This study explores how these strategies support the development of linguistic skills for effective communication in English. Recent research underscores the significant impact of metacognitive strategies on learner performance. This study analyzes various types of these strategies and their integration into educational practice. Findings reveal that metacognitive strategies foster independent and responsible learning, leading to better understanding and retention. Teachers are essential in guiding students to apply these strategies across all learning activities, making metacognitive strategies vital for developing efficient and competent language learners.

    Contemporary society requires professionals with skills directly related to information and communication technologies (ICT) and effective communication in a foreign language. In fact, ICTs have made significant progress in recent decades, making it possible to implement new educational strategies such as flipped learning. However, until recently ICTs were used in a superficial way in the educational process, including the higher education system. The purpose of this paper is to present a reverse lesson model implemented in the Lexicology course.

    METODOLOGIA UTILIZĂRII TIC ÎN FORMAREA COMPETENȚEI DE COMUNICARE ÎN LIMBA STRĂINĂ LA ADULȚI

    Integrarea tehnologiilor informaționale și de comunicare în procesul de predare –învățare –evaluare a devenit o necesitate a zilelor noastre. Ultimii ani au adus o adevărată revoluție conceptuală în educațe,iar TIC au devenit un mediupentru învățare. Adaptarea la cerințele societății bazate pe cunoaștere solicită regândirea procesului educațional, oferind formabilului posibilitatea de a explora, rezolva probleme prin inte rmediul propriilor activități de cercetare/investigare, de a relaționa cu ceilalți în diferite medii culturale și educaționale, de a-și exprima opinii și păreri argumentate. În cazul când TIC sunt orientate corespunzător, ele contribuie la o învățare activă, centrată pe formabil și la dezvoltarea creativității și a gândirii critice.

    In the modern age of science and technology, there is a rapid development and transformation in all the sectors that imply the progress and welfare of people, because everything is modernized and digitized. Last but not least, inventions and new technologies could strengthen and influence not only the economy but also the educational system because they have become part of the educational institutions not only for training students but also for training employable people. In this case, information and communication technologies play a vital role in improving students' knowledge by exposing them to recent materials and events. We must note that regardless of the profession a person can exercise or the titles he holds, it is extremely important to be able to express his opinions, ideas and knowledge. Therefore, for success, communicative competence plays a very important role, which is in fact a complex skill, which requires the simultaneous use of a number of different abilities. The use of ICT can contribute to the development of communication skills by improving speech skills, which not only include the accuracy of pronunciation, but also an adequate fluency and effective communication

    Astăzi,în condiţiile economiei postindustriale, informatizării şi globalizării tuturor sferelor de activitate a omului, problema educaţiei adulţilor a căpătat valenţe şi perspective noi. Învăţământul pentru adulţi este o componentă importantă a învăţării permanente, deoarece cunoştinţele, competenţele şi atitudinile dobândite în perioada copilăriei şi a adolescenţei în familie, la şcoală, în timpul formării profesionale sau în universitate nu vor dura toată viaţa.De asemenea,această recunoaştere „totală” –sub aspect social, economic, politic, educaţional,antropologic etc. –a fost determinată atât de cantitatea și calitatea impunătoare a raţionamentelor şi polemicilor ştiinţifice, de praxisul andragogic activ din ultima perioadă,cât şi de evoluţia propriu-zisă a omului şi a umanităţii, a economiei și a societăţii,a unor realităţi transcendente, precum timpul, spaţiul, viteza, consistenţa.
