Item Valențe conceptual-metodologice ale unor categorii și noțiuni specifice domeniului securității(Editura USM, 2024) Sprîncean, SergheiThe rigor of adapting the conceptual-methodological apparatus specific to the security field, currently requires important adjustments in the context of the expansion and deepening of security issues. The diversity of security challenges raises new questions and generates new challenges for researchers of security phenom-ena and processes. So that security research, for a more in-depth understanding of it, acquires important new and novel conceptual-methodological valences in correlation with the general desideratum of the survival of mankind, of the contemporary unprecedented security crisis on a global level, after the Second World War. Security becomes a way, a fundamental condition, an important resource for the foundation of a new frame-work of analysis in a security context, modeled and flexible, depending on the optimal course towards achiev-ing the general goal of the academic community and the whole society, that of solving sustainable security issues. Human security as a concept, although belonging to a previous stage of the studies of security, from the perspective of defining its basic components: freedom from needs, freedom from fear and the right to live with dignity, remains the source of inspiration for the next step in the development of security theory, because it supports meeting the objectives of the concept of sustainable development and the solution of individual security hazards. Thus, the expansion of the conceptual-theoretical framework of the field of security in correlation with the methodological set of human security is able to present, analyze and find viable solutions to contemporary complex and interdisciplinary challenges.Item Arealuri de securitate europeană în contextul cooperării regionale(Editura USM, 2024) Juc, Victor; Diacon, MariaThe article presents a comprehensive analysis of the approach to bilateral and multilateral coopera-tion in the security sector after the most recent events in the region. The way the European Union responded to the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 confirmed its existence as an intentional security actor. By passing ten packages of sanctions against Russia, hosting more than 4 million Ukrainian refugees and associated humanitarian aid, funding the delivery of arms to Ukraine by its member states, and responding to the energy crisis, the European Union has played its part in the Western response to the war in Europe. Regional coop-eration, after the systemic transformation in Central Europe and 20 years after most of the countries in the region joined the European Union, has become one of the most important tools for them to lead international politics. It plays a subsidiary role in the pursuit of national interests to these countries' membership in the EU and NATO, which these countries consider, along with bilateral alliances with the United States, to be the cornerstones of their own security policies. From the perspective of the Republic of Moldova, accelerating the implementation of reforms, developing and strengthening institutional capacities, as well as capitalizing on partnerships and other regional cooperation instruments are essential to advance in the process of joining the European Union.Item Reziliența ca resursă sociopsihologică de consolidare a capitalului uman și social(Editura USM, 2024) Gaşper, LuciaThe article focuses on the phenomenon of resilience and offers a comprehensive view of research in the field of social psychology. The study investigates the role of individual and community resources, educational attainment, health, civic engagement, and social networks in fostering resilience. The respondents gave their opinion on the major concerns and problems faced by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, both at the local and regional level. Most respondents highlighted the importance of continuing education and training to improve the knowledge level of the community. Several responses emphasize the importance of returning young people to the community to contribute to its develop-ment. There is an urgent need for reforms in the health system to improve the health status of the population. From the answers received, the idea emerges that access to the top of the social hierarchy is closely related to political and social connections. There are localities where people are active and involved in solving commu-nity problems, and others where this involvement is less or even absent. We also aimed to research the common factors for the investigated localities that contribute to the population's resistance to social stress and crisis situations.Item Rezultatele cercetării interviurilor individuale aprofundate la subiectul rezilienței sociale și capitalului uman, 2024(Editura USM, 2024) Potoroacă, MihailThe research presents the results obtained after conducting 79 in-depth interviews in urban and rural localities in the Republic of Moldova on the subject of social resilience and human capital. The study investi-gates the role of individual and community resources, educational attainment, health, civic engagement, and social networks in fostering resilience. As a main hypothesis, we propose the thesis that the Republic of Moldova will show a greater degree of societal resilience in periods of crisis and social transformation, when human capital is developed. If we talk about the problems of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, the participants in the inter-view most often mentioned low salaries and low pensions. The biggest dangers perceived by the interview participants related to the state of the Republic of Moldova are those that originate in the war in the neigh-boring country: A possible military conflict, Hybrid war, Loss of independence of the Republic of Moldova. More than half of the study participants mentioned that leaders contribute to the development of their communities. In the view of the participants of the study, the people who consider themselves to be in the role of leader in the society of the Republic of Moldova reach this role through different ways, some of them not always integral and by merit. Sometimes people who do not have the necessary qualities are promoted, and this fact leads to the stagnation of the development of the Republic of Moldova. Most of the participants indicated the support from family members as a source of support in times of crisis, others show that citizens of the Republic of Moldova are helped by mutual support and solidarity be-tween community members. In the view of the respondents, they provide support, mitigate the effects of social stress and improve individual and collective resilience.
