In this article, a brief research has been carried out on the matter regarding the legal liability in the field of security and health at work, taking into account the national legislation, the doctrine and the judicial practice. It has been stated that violation of security and health at work can lead to various forms of legal liability (disciplinary, material, contravention and criminal). The legal effects arising from work accidents and professional diseases, with reference to determining and paying an indemnity to the person, who lost his / her work capacity and, in case of death, to the members of the family, have been highlighted.
