Numerous aspects that potentially affect the human security of the population of the Republic of Moldova become major concerns in the context of the strategic choice of the vector of the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova, as a result of the association with one of the existing geopolitical blocs. The competition and rivalry, to a certain extent, between these geostrategic blocs, to which the Republic of Moldova is attracted, presuppose a different spectrum of benefits and risks for the population of the Republic of Moldova. The option of associating the Republic of Moldova with the European Union offers numerous benefits of modernization, increase of well-being, stability and strengthening of security, including human, correlated with low risks at the level of delegation of some coordination functi- ons, offered to some community structures.
