Along with other political formations in Romania, the parties
from Bessarabia with parliamentary representation participated in the debates
on the text of new Constitution, both in the press, at meetings in the territory,
and from the Parliament’s tribune. If the peasant opposition in Bessarabia
criticized the National-Liberal Party draft of the Constitution, the liberal
Bessarabian parliamentarians and the peasant group of Ion Inculet voted for
the new Fundamental Law of completed Romania.
