This article aims to present the psychological aspects specific to the elderly and the importance of adapting the individual to the changes that occur in the third decade of life. At the same time with the deterioration of the health condition, of professional and couple status change, the elderly must succeed to be able to approach different coping schemes in order to cope with the perceived level of stress and avoid deppresion and anxiety that can be determined by the specifications of this life stage. This article presents the phenomenon of aging, the psychological aspects of this life stage and the coping schemas theories used by the elderly.
