The article includes the analysis of the particularities of the phenomenon of disability
and the specifics of determining disability from a socio-medical perspective. The author
investigates by highlighting the characteristics, methods of approach and the needs of the
beneficiaries and their difficulties. In the same way, the research carried out within the
master’s thesis will contribute to the improvement of the legislative normative framework,
of the approach methodology and to the diminution of discrimination, marginalization or
social exclusion of people with disabilities and their families.
