This research focuses on identifying the motivations for choosing teaching, the level of
commitment and satisfaction from this choice of observant dance students. The data was collected with a structured questionnaire developed especially for the research. According to the findings the questionnaire is valid. The intrinsic-educational and altruistic motivations were found to predict commitment to teaching. In addition,
the socialization agents – family members and friends – were found to have an emotional influence, while teachers influence through modeling.
