The aim of the research: is to study the dimensions of quality of life at older people from families and those who are institutionalized in asylums. This was achieved through the following objectives: by reviewing the literature regarding the quality of life, defining the concepts of quality of life and life satisfaction, identifying particularities of the age to older persons, analyzing the factors influencing quality of life at older people.
