BIOGRAFIA UNEI PERSONALITAȚI MARCANTE – AFANASIE V. REPIDA
    (Tipografia "Lexon-Prim", 2020) Eremia, Ion
The biography of Professor Afanasie Repida is in many ways similar to the biography of many who made up the Soviet intellectuals: primary, secondary, higher education, the hierarchical advancement of the Soviet system. Afanasie Repida had the misfortune to participate in the largest and cruellest world conflagration of the twentieth century, the Second World War, but also the luck to escape with his life. Endowed with true peasant wisdom, he faced the calls of the times in which he lived and worked, showed an example of modesty and humanity towards his colleagues and subordinates, constantly sought to avoid and settle situations of conflict. Professor Afanasie Repida’s scientific legacy bears the stamp of the times in which he wrote, the horizons of his creative search being limited by the regime in which he lived and dictated by the party that created that regime. It must be viewed and appreciated with great care and caution, because, it seems, Professor Afanasie Repida’s inner feelings were different from those he laid out on paper. Perhaps for this reason, those who knew the teacher well, carry in their hearts with great care the warm memory of the one who was Afanasie V. Repida.
