Item FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE TOURISM FLOWS FROM MOLDOVA TO GREECE(CEP USM, 2017) Cazacu, StelaDue to the fact that the bilateral tourism relations between Moldova and Greece have been increasing over the last years, especially as a result of an increasing tourism flow from Moldova towards Greece, this article has the goal to evaluate the factors that affect the tourism flows from Moldova to Greece. The researcher applies the bilateral tourism framework proposed by Prideaux. The findings of this research study show that the factors influence the touristic flows from Moldova to Greece in the following manner: (1) the demand factors – negative influence; (2) government responsibilities factors – diverse effects; (3) private sector factors – both a positive and a negative influence; (4) intangible factors – mainly a beneficial impact; (5) external economic factors - basically a negative role; (6) external political and health factors – generally a beneficial impact. Based on the findings, the author proposes several corrective actions that would improve the touristic flows from Moldova to Greece.Item GREEK FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS IN THE ECONOMY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2017) Cazacu, StelaThe aptitude of a state to take part in global activity is a significant sign of its performance and competitiveness. In this sense, Europe is currently the world’s major investing region. Thus, it is important to investigate the impact of the Eurozone crisis on the Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) outflows from the European Union. At first, it provides definitions of the investigated term of the national and international economists. Next, the article analyses the different classifications of the term and proposes its own classification. Further, the study defines and analyses all the proposed forms of international economic relations.Item THE CONTEMPORARY METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES AND THEORIES EXPLAINING INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FLOWS(CEP USM, 2017) Siscan, Zorina; Cazacu, StelaProceeding from the fact that international tourism is in permanent growth the last decades, and contributes significantly to the development of contemporary national economies, the authors of the article have focused on methodological and theoretical frame that allows deeper understanding of the touristic flows from various aspects. In doing so, the first author has launched some methodological approaches that allow deepening a perspective research on touristic flows while the second author has concentrated upon grouping and analysis of existing theories used to explain touristic flows. As an outcome, the authors recommend a blend of those approaches and theories to be used for an adequate understanding and managing the existing and perspective touristic flows.Item CONTEMPORARY THEORETICAL AN D METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS REGARDING FOREIGN DIRECT INVEST MENT BETWEEN MOLDOVA AND GREECE(CEP USM, 2016) Cazacu, StelaThis theoretical study focuses on the foreign direct investments (FDI) theories. Initially, it attempts to explain briefly the FDI theories. Then, the article determines the applicability of these theories in contemporary research studies. An attempt is also made to conclude with the most relevant FDI theories that would explain the FDI flows between Greece and Moldova.Item ASPECTE TEORETICE ŞI METODOLOGICE CONTEMPORANE REFERITOARE LA COMERŢUL INTERNAŢIONAL(Academy of the Economic Studies of Moldova, 2015) Cazacu, StelaComerţul internaţional a crescut, în mod semnificativ, în ultimele decenii şi joacă un rol important pentru bunăstarea economică a unei ţări. Acest studiu are drept scop explorarea teoriilor de comerţ internaţional, aplicabilitatea şi relevanţa lor în cercetarea contemporană. Apoi, folosind cunoştinţele dobândite despre diverse teorii, sunt propuse modelele cele mai potrivite pentru explicarea fluxului comercial dintre Republica Moldova şi Grecia. Mai exact, cercetătorul ajunge la concluzia că teoria dotării cu factori de producţie şi teoria gravitaţiei comerciale sunt teoriile cele mai potrivite, care ar putea servi la explicarea şi dezvoltarea comerţului bilateral dintre Republica Moldova şi Grecia.
