The content of the article expresses the historiographic analysis of the mediation research in the international dispute settlement, as well as the theoretical and conceptual determinations of international mediation and litigations, also describing the phases, forms and styles of the mediation process in the context of international dispute resolution and focuses on demonstrating the efficiency of mediation to resolve international disputes,
presenting a local analysis of the transnistrian conflict.
