    Public procurement is an essential aspect of public investment: it stimulates economic development in the state and is an important element for dynamizing the market. Public procurement is important because it involves the use of public money and is part of our everyday life. Public administrations purchase works, goods and services for their citizens: these purchases must be made in the most efficient way. Public procurement also provides opportunities for businesses, thereby encouraging private investment and contrbuting directly and indirectly to economic growth and job creation. Finally, public procurement plays an important role in channeling European structural and investment funds. Public procurement represents the sum of all the processes of planning, setting priorities, organizing, advertising and procedures, in order to make purchases by organizations that are fully or partially financed by public budgets. These refer to the process by which public authorities, such as central or local authorities, purchase works, goods or services from companies.

    NOILE TENDINȚE DE MODERNIZARE A SISTEMULUI DE ACHIZIȚII PUBLICE DIN REPUBLICA MOLDOVA

    The national public procurement system in the Republic of Moldova is in the process of modernization according to the new social realities in order to make the public authorities more receptive to the current and future needs of society. Following the imlementation of the Strategy for the development of the procurement system for 2016- 2020, which aimed to implement Title V, Chapter 8 of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, the procurement system needs a new strategic vision for overcoming failures and promoting new trends in the field.
