The paper gives a retrospective analysis of the contents of the concept
war as a socio-political phenomenon and the changes therein in today’s conditions.The
Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine demonstrates how fragile peace
is where there are geopolitical interests. The lack of responsibility of the West, the
insufficiency of the effort made, did not prevent its unleashing.
