ERARY RECEPTION: A PROCEDURAL PHENOMENON

Abstract: The communication refers to the phenomenon of literary reception and its procedural character. A foray into the history of the concept of ”reception” ensures a better understanding of the given field. The evolution of the idea of literary reception is conditioned by the way in which it was perceived and, respectively, explained the literary art in general. So, this term involves features conditioned by the numerous ways of conceptualizing the literary work. Reviewing the ways of existence of the literary work identifies the factors and difficulties that determined the impossibility of conducting a fundamental study of literature from the perspective of the reader. It also justifies the absence of a unique theory of reading. No ideal boundaries are reached between reception theories and reading theories, but it can be seen with certainty that text-oriented theories are associated with reading theories, and those oriented towards the reading process and the sum of ”answers” of empirical readers make up reception theories. Therefore, the act of reading is a stage in the process of reception. No boundary can be put between the reading activity and the reception activity; they are complementary. The literary reception phenomenon consists of several stages and levels. The procedural character of the act of reading is determined by the temorality of the literary work.
JULIA KRISTEVA: TEORIA INTERTEXTUALITĂȚII

Cercetările întreprinse de Mihail Bahtin în domeniul filosofiei și teoriei literare au servit drept teren fertil pentru alte direcții de cercetare din Occident. Prin anii ’70 ai secolului trecut, Julia Kristeva reinterpretează ideile savantului rus în articolele: „Bahtin, cuvântul, dialogul și romanul” (1967) și „Ruinarea poeticii” (1970). În baza teoriei despre dialog și polifonie a lui Mihail Bahtin, Julia Kristeva își teoretizează propriul concept despre dialogul textelor, acum cuvântul-bivoc devine cuvânt-discurs. Astfel, în cadrul unui seminar de literatură din 1966, cercetătoarea de origine bulgară introduce în circuitul noțiunilor literare termenul de intertextualitate. Intertextualitatea este relația de co-prezență între două sau mai multe texte, cel mai adesea prin prezența efectivă a unui text în altul, dar și un mod de abordare a textului. Intertextualitatea este un fenomen ce se manifestă atât la nivelul formei, cât și la nivelul conținutului. Prin urmare, o lectură intertextuală asigură o cercetare sincretică complexă care însumează caracteristicile textuale și extratextuale ale operei literare. Observăm că abordarea intertextuală acordă o atenție deosebită relației literaturii cu ea însăși (literatură – literatură), în același timp vizează și alte tipuri de inter-fluențe (sociologice, istorice, ideologice/religioase, psihologice, culturale). Roland Barthes susține că noțiunea de intertextanunță „imposibilitatea de a trăi în afara textului infinit – fie că acest text este Proust, sau ziarul cotidian, sau ecranul televizorului: cartea face sensul, sensul face viața”. Studiul conceptului de intertextualitate este de o actualitate indubitabilă. Odată ce a fost introdus acum aproximativ 50 de ani de către Julia Kristeva, ideea a cauzat o explozie de interpretări. Deja la începutul secolului al XXI-lea, în domeniul științelor umaniste apar noi termeni și concepte, totodată vechile cunoștințe sunt acum privite dintr-o nouă perspectivă, cea a principiului dialogic. Într-un cuvânt, s-a întâmplat ceea ce Mihail Bahtin anticipase cu aproximativ jumătate de secol mai devreme – totul face parte din „dialogul mare”.
LECTURA CA MOD DE EXISTENȚĂ A OPEREI LITERARE TEORII ALE LECTURII DIN SECOLUL AL XX-LEA

Scopul lucrării rezidă în analiza metamorfozelor și crearea unui tablou al teoriei lecturii din secolul al XX-lea, în propunerea unui suport teoretico-metodic adecvat pentru analiza operei literare din perspectiva cititorului.
LOUISE ROSENBLATT: TEORIA TRANZACȚIONALĂ

În cadrul orientărilor poststructuraliste, s-au multiplicat eforturile de a muta accentul de pe textul imanent pe procesul de comunicare literară, respectiv pe semantic și receptarea literară. De acum mai bine de 50 de ani, predomină ideea că textele literare trebuie definite nu atât prin proprietățile sale intratextuale, cât prin funcționalitatea lor într-o anumită societate, unde alături de celelalte arte contribuie la crearea sensului pentru om. Pentru reprezentanții Reader-Response Criticism-ului literatura este o formă specifică de comunicare. Opera literară este în același timp text, autor și cititor, toate acestea închegate într-un microsistem. Mișcarea Reader-Response Criticism s-a dezvoltat în spațiul anglo-saxon ca reacție la postulatele New Criticism-ului, mai ales prin anii ’70–’80. Teoria răspunsului cititorului alcătuiește un filon comun cu poststructuralismul și deconstrucția, astfel se desparte de tendințele teoretice din Europa. Aflați sub influența poststructuraliștilor, teoreticienii „reader-oriented” susțineau că nu poate exista sens în afara subiectului receptor. Sensul nu trebuie căutat în text, pentru că înțelesul este în răspunsul cititorului format ca rezultat al actului de lectură. Adepții teoriei consideră acceptabil orice răspuns sau reacție afectivă a cititorului. Se disting câteva tipuri de răspunsuri: răspuns (inițial) emoțional, interpretativ, analitic, interogativ și intertextual. Louise Rosenblatt este cercetătoarea care se numără printre promotorii mișcării „reader-oriented”. Activând în calitatea de profesoara de literatură, în 1978, Louise Rosenblatt propune o interpretare proprie a teoriei răspunsului citi- torului, pe care o numește teoria tranzacțională (Transactional Theory). Cercetă- toarea analizează tranzacțiile de înțeles dintre text și cititor, ambele instanțe sunt considerate importante în actul lecturii. În termenii acestei teorii, cititorul poate manifesta două tipuri de răspunsuri: referente și estetice. Considerăm important să se introducă în spațiul academic de la noi implicațiile teoretice ale cercetătoarei americane.
READER-RESPONSE THEORIES. CONCEPTUAL AND TERMINOLOGICAL DELIMITATIONS

Abstract: The theoretical segment that refers to the phenomenon of receiving the artistic literature, more specifically the field interested in the concepts of reading and reader, is characterized by a deep indeterminacy, multiple confusions and terminological overlaps. All this is due to the polysemy of the notions with which it operates, the lack of a globalizing and fundamental explanatory study, as well as due to the large number of schools, research perspectives, theories, hypotheses, methods, approaches that have self-propelled parallel, successively or deductively. throughout the last century. Also, this self- reflexive dimension of anti-intentional hermeneutics is extremely vast and complex with an inter- and multidisciplinary specificity. The basic disciplines, but also directions derived from them, which approach and define the concepts of reading, reception, reader are: history and literary criticism, hermeneutics, pragmatics, rhetoric, poetry, communication sciences, sociology of literature, sociocriticism, psychology of literature , psychoanalysis, psychocritics, semiotics, linguistics, dialogism, aesthetics. Thus, a research in this sense would clarify many drawbacks of studies on the concept of literary reading. The approach proposes a re-inventory of all concepts related to the act of reading and its agent - the reader, as well as a delimitation and a clarification of them using several dictionaries of literary theory and by updating the most important theoretical studies on this topic appeared during the twentieth century.
READING AS THE MEANS OF EXISTENCE FOR LITERARY WORK THEORIES OF READING FROM THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

The purpose is to analyze the metamorphoses of reading theory from the twentieth century and create a panorama of them, propose a theoretical and methodological support suitable for the analysis of a literary work from the perspective of the reader. As a result of new aspects discovered during the research, the goal initially proposed became much more complex. Thus, in order to solve the new problems detected in the field of reading theory, several other objectives were formulated.
REVITALIZAREA FOLCLORULUI URBAN ÎN PROCESUL DE CONSTITUIRE A UNUI BRAND DE ORAȘ

Cities in the Republic of Moldova enjoy less complex and coherent strategies in terms of promoting their own images in the country and abroad. Researchers in different fields, through the scientific approaches they carry out, can contribute considerably to the formation of the cultural branding of the cities from Republic of Moldova. Creating a city brand impliesthe realization of a trans- and interdisciplinary approach, applying knowledge and methods of research and implementation in fields such as: culturology, folkloristics, history, ethnography, imagology and mythopoetics. The present article warns about the obligation to return to the exploration and promotion of folklore for the creation of a genuine city brand. The reputation of a city depends, to a large extent, on the stories accumulated in the collective memory; therefore research from this perspective is inevitable. The purpose of the given approach is to open a new scientific perspective for our academic context, on the basis of which, subsequently, the ethno-folkloric and mythopoetic identity of the cities of the Republic of Moldova will be outlined. Nowadays, with the process of globalization and massive urbanization, the sphere of folklore undergoes important remodeling; popular creations bear the features of post-industrial society. This new configuration is considered not so much an evolution of rural, traditional folklore as a new form of manifestation of collective memory and imagination. Thus, we aim to explain the notion of urban folklore and debate its conceptual boundaries.

Researching the influence of these strategies on the relations between theRepublic of Moldova and international actors will evidence the perspectives in solving the transnistrian conflict.
TEORII ALE LECTURII ȘI TEORII ALE RECEPTĂRII: DOUĂ CONSTANTE ALE METATEORIEI LECTURII

The twentieth century was marked by numerous metamorphoses in the field of humanities and beyond. The article is meant to be a foray into the history of research of the twentieth century, thereby offering enough clues to understand how the new principles of literary science have been articulated. Specifically, the theoretical study of the phenomenon of literary reception represent the sphere of interest of the given approach. The aim is to analyze metamorphoses and create a picture of the “metatheory of reading”, a heterogeneous dimension that emerged in the second half of the twentieth century as a self-reflective discourse in the field of reading theory. It is also intended to establish some conceptual and terminological delimitations of prime importance in the study of the literary work from the perspective of the reader. Starting with the second half of the last century, the reader becomes the most privileged instance in the process of literary communication, which has led to an increase in the number of studies on reading and the reader. In fact, the reader has always been an essential factor in the realization of the literary phenomenon; it gives meaningful content to the set of signs and codes, becoming the coauthor of the work. Literary creation can only manifest its existence through an act of reading. The theories about the reader follow the classical division: the intrinsic and the extrinsic approach. As a result, there are two ramifications of reading metatheory: theories of reading and theories of reception. First category deal with intratextual instances, especially the ideal reader, a textual strategy, and explain how the text programs reading. The second one study the intratextual instances, especially the real reader and his answer to the text, the way in which the concrete reader influences the formation of the literary message. Aiming at the conceptualization of the same instance of literary communication, these categories, however, look at the reader from different angles, inside the text or outside it, which creates difficulties in the field of reading, both theoretically and practically.
UN MODEL DE LECTURĂ SINCRETICĂ ILUSTRAT ÎN BAZA ROMANULUI NUMELE TRANDAFIRULUI DE UMBERTO ECO

Articolul propune un nou model de lectură ilustrat în baza romanului Numele tranda- firului de Umberto Eco. Modelul îmbină echilibrat cercetarea instanțelor intratextuale cu studiul celor extratextuale. Totodată, individualizat prin determinantul „sincretic(ă)”, modelul presupune o aborare tridimensională, din perspectiva dialogismului, a teoriei intertextuale şi a sociocriticii. Necesitatea conceptualizării unui modelul de lectură sincretică este condiționată de caracteristicile textelor moderne şi postmoderne. Pornind de la principiul dialogic şi ideea perspectivismului, modelul de lectură sincretică urmăreşte să depăşească problema interpretărilor inadecvate, parțiale şi rigide. Algoritmul lecturii sincretice presupune trei etape de parcurs: Pre-lectura, Lectura propriu-zisă şi Post-lectura, fiecare dintre acestea, la rândul lor, impun un şir de operații de realizat. Exercițiul de lectură sincreti că realizat în baza Numelui trandafirului ilustrează aplicabilitatea modelului conceptualizat, eficiența etapelor şi operațiilor de realizat.
