Abstract
In this study we aim to investigate how strategic narratives are constructed, adapted and used in security discourse in an electoral context, starting from an integrated theoretical and empirical approach. The starting point of the research is the interest in understanding how political actors resort to security discourses to shape public perceptions of risks, legitimize political decisions and consolidate electoral support. The empirical part of the research uses content analysis as the main investigative method, applied to three public speeches delivered by President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu in electoral context.
