Abstract

The assistance of the central authority in implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Civil Aspects of the International Abduction of Children has a very important role in protecting the best interests of the child to live in an ordinary and favorable environment, as well as to communicate with both parents and the extended family. The central authority may be the authority of the requesting State as well as the authority of the requested State. In any situation, the central authority of the state must cooperate efficiently and in timely manner to ensure the immediate return of children moved or detained illegally and to allow the realization of the right of visit. At the same time, it is for the central authority to take the preliminary steps for the out-of-court and amicable settlement of the family dispute.
