This study is an argument for using the results of scientific research on the victim-offender relationship in development of victimological policy and victim support services. The aim is to identify the need for such studies in the Republic of Moldova and to assess the possible impact on the improvement of victim policy in the first place, and secondly, on the victim assistance services, which are precarious and do not correspond with international standards. In the end, it was concluded that the victimological study, particularly the victim-offender relationship, does not have strong roots in the Republic of Moldova and must be developed because many practical problems will be solved in this way.en
