Abstract

This paper focuses on the technological and social-psychological aspects of librarians’ work. The introduction outlines the role of librarians in the digital age, as well as the importance of balancing technological advances with traditional library practices. Definitions of key concepts such as information technology, digital literacy and socio-psychological factors are provided, highlighting the complex nature of librarianship in modern times. The article addresses suggestions for improving the technological and socio-psychological skills of librarians, such as providing opportunities for professional development, promoting collaboration and communication between librarians and users, and emphasizing the value of librarianship in promoting information literacy and lifelong learning.
