REFLECȚII PRIVIND STUDIUL FILMULUI ARTISTIC CA DOCUMENT ISTORIC ÎN CERCETĂRILE OCCIDENTALE

Abstract

Filmul artistic reprezintă o reflecție a tendințelor sociale și o oglindă culturală a societății emitente. Sinteza noas- tră susține ideea că filmele, atunci când sunt analizate în context și cu ajutorul metodelor de cercetare istorică, pot servi drept documente istorice. Studierea lor permite înțelegerea specificului epocii, modului de viață și a proceselor sociale, politice și economice. Bazându-ne pe lucrările cercetătorilor occidentali precum Siegfried Kracauer, Chris- tian Metz, Gilles Deleuze, Laura Mulvey, Carol J. Clover, Marie Michel, David Bordwell și Kristin Tompson, acest articol evidențiază diverse abordări interdisciplinare privind felul cum putem folosi filmul artistic ca document istoric din perspectiva diferitor discipline, precum: teoria filmului, psihanaliza, semiotica, reprezentările de gen etc. În cele din urmă, subliniem importanța perceperii filmelor ca documente istorice și utilizarea metodologiilor interdisciplina- re pentru a descifra adevăratele lor semnificații. Prin asemenea analize nuanțate, filmele ne oferă nu doar frânturi ale trecutului, dar și încurajează o înțelegere comprehensivă a istoriei.The film plays a significant role as a reflection of evolving societal trends and cultural mirrors. Our synthesis supports the idea that films, when analyzed within their context using historical research methods, can serve as his- torical sources. Analyzing films allows for an understanding of the specific context of the period, people’s way of life, and major social processes. Based on the works of Western researchers such as Siegfried Kracauer, Christian Metz, Gilles Deleuze, Laura Mulvey, Carol J. Clover, Marie Michel, David Bordwell and Kristin Tompson, this synthesis highlights various interdisciplinary approaches on how we can use the film as historical sources from diffe- rent perspectives: film theory, psychoanalysis, semiotics, gender representations etc. Ultimately, we underscore the importance of perceiving films as historical documents and employing interdisciplinary methodologies to decipher their true meanings. Through such nuanced analyses, films not only provide glimpses into the past but also foster a comprehensive understanding of history.
