Abstract

Credit is a traditional banking product that determines the basic functionality of banking institutions and has a multidimensional significance. Firstly, bank credit is a bank loan, through which bank makes available to client amounts of money on a maturity, warranty and payment basis. It is based on a contract between the bank and client. The consumer of this product may be a natural person, a legal person or a state institution. Secondly, bank credit is a technology to meet a financial need expressed by the client. Thirdly, bank credit is one of the foundations for collaboration between the bank and its client. This product is provided both separately and in complex banking to customer. By developing the innovative process within commercial banks, qualities of this product can be changed, which can take different forms. The actuality of this study was determined by the need to develop bank lending practices (technologies) in Republic of Moldova. For this purpose, international experience in the implementation of innovations related to bank loans was studied. As a result, main features and directions of the innovation process in bank credit market have been identified, which will be reflected in this article.
