The connections between environment and national security have become more pronounced, requiring an integrated approach due to the wide-ranging implications ecological risks have on multiple key-domains. Along with the evolution of the security concept, natural environment components have also turned into threat multipliers, characterized by their potential to generate conflicts and crises at national, regional or even global levels. This article examines how the Moldovan state must ensure the proper management of resources, which implies the direct responsibility of the state for the health of the population and should be a political priority and a condition for the economic prosperity of the country, with a direct impact on national security.en
