Abstract

This scientific report is dedicated to victimological prevention of criminality committed in the sphere of healthcare. Medical activity concerned as an activity associated with the existence of an unavoidable risk of harm to health or death of a person, must be carried out with the aim of eliminating painful conditions and the consequences of injuries that threaten the patient’s life or inflict significant harm to his health condition. The modern science of Victimology requires comprehensive measures in the prevention of crimes committed in the field of health care. Victimological forecasting of medical criminality includes the identification of the implicit risks of medical mistakes, which should include the following: poor or poor-quality lighting; high noise level; poor ventilation system of medical premises; inadequate equipping with tools and equipment of the workplace, depending on the specifics of the medical care provided; lack of awareness and training of staff; subjective underestimation of these dangers by the health worker himself.
