| dc.description.abstract | The events in the region, resulting in the military aggression of the Russian Federation on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, accelerated the dynamics of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Currently, Moldovan-European relations are conditioned by the events in Ukraine, which oriented the foreign policy vector of the Republic of Moldova towards the EU. The submission of the EU accession application by the Republic of Moldova and obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU integration speaks to the state’s desire to align itself with the processes of the European integration space. The objective of this article is to highlight the conditions under which the Republic of Moldova obtained the status of a candidate country for the EU, as well as the conditions imposed by the EU regarding the resilience of the Republic of Moldova to European standards. | en |
