The phenomenon of the globalization of societies has been thoroughly researched over the last years. Nonetheless, these studies don't cover the whole subject and mostly pay attention to the economic and financial domains giving a lot less credit to the social and cultural components. In this study, our primary goal is to highlight the degree to which the phenomenon of globalization tends to alter the culture and cultural identity of existing societies. Defining the cultural identity, as a means of pointing out separate individuals belonging to a certain culture, while also a differentiating factor between, represents a key element for preserving and enlarging the specter of national cultural values.en
