Abstract

Procesul de integrare europeană a generat transformări semnificative în dezvoltarea politică, socială și instituțională a Republicii Moldova. În acest context, educația civică capătă un rol tot mai important în formarea atitudinilor democratice, în consolidarea înțelegerii valorilor europene și în dezvoltarea unei identități europene în rândul cetățenilor. Prezentul studiu analizează relația dintre educația civică și procesul de formare a identității europene în Republica Moldova în contextul parcursului de aderare la Uniunea Europeană. Cercetarea urmărește modul în care educația civică contribuie la promovarea principiilor democratice, la respectarea drepturilor omului și la conștientizarea responsabilităților asociate cetățeniei europene. O atenție deosebită este acordată rolului instituțiilor educaționale, politicilor publice și inițiativelor civice în stimularea participării active a cetățenilor la viața democratică și în facilitarea unei mai bune înțelegeri a procesului de integrare europeană. Studiul se bazează pe analiza literaturii de specialitate, a documentelor de politici publice și a rapoartelor elaborate de instituții naționale și europene, pre- cum și pe examinarea evoluțiilor recente din mediul educațional și socio-politic al Republicii Moldova. Rezultatele evidențiază faptul că educația civică reprezintă un instrument esențial pentru consolidarea rezilienței democratice și pentru dezvoltarea sentimentului de apartenență la spațiul european. he European integration process has generated significant transformations in the political, social, and institutional development of the Republic of Moldova. The research examines how civic education contributes to the promotion of democratic principles, respect for human rights, and awareness of the responsibilities associated with European citizenship. Particular attention is given to the role of educational institutions, public policies, and civic initiatives in encouraging active citizen participation in democratic life and in facilitating a better understanding of the European integration process. The study is based on the analysis of relevant academic literature, public policy documents, and reports issued by national and European institutions, as well as on the examination of recent developments in the educational and socio-political environment of the Republic of Moldova.The findings highlight that civic education represents an essential instrument for strengthening democratic resilience and for developing a sense of belonging to the European space.
