INTERPRETĂRI PRIVIND CONCEPEREA ADEVĂRULUI ISTORIC ÎN CRONOGRAFIA ROMÂNEASCĂ DIN SEC. XVI – MIJLOCUL SEC. XVIII

Abstract

In the article are analyzed some aspects on the conception of historical truth in the chronicles of Grigore Ureche, Miron Costin, Ion Neculce, Nicolaus Olahus, Constantin Stolnicul: critical spirit towards historical sources, specific methods used to select and interpret materials from these sources, specific character and objectivity in describing facts and historical events. Examination of truth itself in the way it is conceived for scholars is exposed in the context of time and individual interpretation of each author. In the article is argued the fact that scholars demonstrates profoundly and thoroughly the historical truth – Latin origin of Romanian people and Romanian language - current problem and today.
