ROLUL CAPELEI „ÎNTÂMPINAREA DOMNULUI” DIN CHIŞINĂU ÎN FORMAREA DUHOVNICEASCĂ A TEOLOGILOR (140 DE ANI DE LA TÂRNOSIREA SFÂNTULUI LOCAȘ)

Abstract

Capela „Întâmpinarea Domnului” este un monument istoric din secolul XIX cu un trecut cultural şi religios semnificativ nu doar pentru istoria Chişinăului, dar şi pentru întreg spaţiu prutonistrean. Începutul zidirii capelei a avut loc la 18 aprilie 1879, pe un teren donat de către Primăria Chişinăului pentru Şcoala Duhovnicească (Spirituală). Biserica „Întâmpinarea Domnului” a fost proiectată de către arhitectul eparhial Mihail Seroţinski, care a asigurat şi asistenţa tehnică. Sfinţirea bisericii a avut loc la 24 august 1880. Prin studiul iniţiat se urmăreşte de a scoate în evidenţă importanţa uneia dintre Bisericile de casă sau a capelei Şcolii Spirituale din Chişinău, fondată în perioada păstoriei arhiepiscopului Pavel Lebedev. Este de remarcat rolul sfântului locaş în for marea duhovnicească a teologilor, care de-a lungul timpului, consecutiv, a fost capela Seminarului Teologic din Chişinău (în perioada interbelică), apoi a Facultăţii de Teologie din Chişinău (1991-1993),iar între 1993-2007 a găzduit studenţii Academiei de Teologiei din Chişinău şi actualmente reprezentând Biserica uneia dintre cele mai importante instituţii de învăţământ superior din republică, a Universităţii de Stat din Moldova.

The "Grace of the Lord" Chapel is a historical monument of the 19th century with a significant cultural and religious past. It is important both for the history of Chisinau and the entire Prut-Dniester area. Start of the church building took place on April 18, 1879, on a territory donated by munici pal government for the Spiritual (Orthodox Ecclesiastical) School. The "Grace of the Lord" church was designed by the diocesan architect Mikhail Serotinsky, who also provided all technical assistance. The consecration of the church took place on August 24, 1880. The study aims to highlight the importance of the chapel of the Spiritual School in Chisinau, founded during the pastorate of Archbishop Pavel Lebedev. It is worth noting the role of this holy place in the spiritual formation of theologians. Over time, consecutively, it served as the chapel of the Theological Seminary in Chisinau (in the interwar period), of the Faculty of Theology in Chisinau (in 1991-1993), and between the years 1993 -2007 it hosted the students of the Academy of Theology in Chisinau. Currently it represents the Church of the State University of Moldova, one of the most important higher education institutions of the country.
