CONSOLIDAREA ESENȚEI ȘI MENIRII DREPTULUI CONSTITUȚIONAL ÎN CONȘTIINȚA JURIDICĂ A SOCIETĂȚII

Abstract

The Republic of Moldova experienced a transition period from the totalitarian system to the classical democratic and constitutional system. Thus, during the dictatorship of a party, the constitutional law played the role of Cinderella, the decisive acts belonging to the party leadership. However, with the fall of the empire, social relations had a pronounced democratic character. Under these conditions, the Constitutional Law, as a fundamental branch of the unitary law system, has regained its function of regulating the fundamental social relations that merge through the complex process of establishing, maintaining and exercising the state power, ensuring the respect of fundamental rights and freedoms of the man and the citizen as well. This evolutionary process is the purpose of this communication on the occasion of the 60-year jubilee of the Law Faculty of the Moldova State University.
