Abstract

This research article is devoted to the theoretical and legal analysis of different approaches to determining the varieties of unitary form of state structure and the criteria for their classification. The author considered two main criteria for classifying unitary states: the criterion of interaction between local and central state bodies, as well as the criterion of presence or absence of autonomous entities in a unitary state. The concepts of relatively decentralized, decentralized and centralized unitary states are disclosed. The characteristic of simple, complex and regionalist unitary state is given.
