The formation and evolution of the chernozems in the Pridanubian area has been synchronized with the evolution of the regional landscape and is favored by the specificity of the parent rocks and the bioclimatic conditions of the region. During the last 4-7 thousand years the chernoziomic pedogenesis in the region is performed within the genetic-evolutionary line: carbonatic chernozem → typical low humiferous chernozem → typical moderately humiferous chernozem → smooth chernozem → argilo-iluvial chernozem. The inclusion of the chernozems in the agricultural circuit and the intensification of the techno-anthropic pressures entails a series of natural and techno-anthropic processes that lead to the modification of the ecosystem functions of the soils and the quantitative and qualitative deterioration of their composition, properties and regimes. More recent research has shown that the techno – anthropic implications affect the processes of evolution of the chernozems in the region at subtype level. This implies the need to implement a sustainable regional landscape ameliorative system for the management of the chernoziomic typogenetic processes.en
