dc.description.abstractEvery year, millions of men, women and children are trafficked around the world in conditions equivalent to slavery. Of these people, thousands are young women and girls lured, kidnapped or sold into forced prostitution and other forms of sexual servitude. The relevance of the article consists in the study carried out on the analysis of the definition of the crime of trafficking in human beings, by studying the international legislation in force, as well as the national one; the involvement of international organizations regarding the eradication of human trafficking; the factors that cause people to become victims of traffickers; but also the efforts undertaken by the Republic of Moldova, through the institutions that have competences in the field of eradicating human trafficking.en
