The article highlights the vulnerability of Ukrainian refugee women in the Republic of Moldova following the conflict in Ukraine, presenting relevant findings and perspectives. Women and children constitute 82% of this refugee population, being considered vulnerable groups exposed to increased risks during times of crisis. Among the most vulnerable are single women or women with children, economically vulnerable individuals, survivors of violence, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Roma women and girls, and other vulnerable groups. The primary needs of Ukrainian refugee women, as identified by the author, include access to essential resources and services such as medical care, legal assistance, psychological counseling, and labor market integration. Verbal and physical abuse, discrimination, and language barriers in job-seeking represent major challenges. Additionally, psychological and emotional abuse from partners persists, generating desires for separation. Recommendations for improving the situation of refugee women focus on information, education, awareness, personal development programs and economic empowerment, access to services for well-being and resilience, as well as measures to reduce risks.en
