Abstract
Pentru înţelegerea procesului complex al adaptării psihologice a familiilor cu un copil
cu autism, literatura de specialitate a propus diverse cadre teoretice. Modelele de adaptare accentuează influenţa unor diferiţi predictori asupra rezultatelor individuale. O parte dintre cercetători au considerat că problemele copilului cu autism reprezintă o sursă de stres a membrilor familiei, insistându-se asupra studierii caracteristicilor copilului în calitate de predictori. Modelele multidimensionale evidenţiază, la nivelul procesului de adaptare familială, factorii specifici dizabilităţii şi comportamentul copilului, dar şi specificul familiei. Majoritatea studiilor analizează relaţia dintre comportamentul social al copilului şi starea psihologică a părintelui doar prin prisma raportărilor părinţilor, aflaţi în incapacitatea de a controla percepţiile subiective privind manifestările concrete ale copilului. În acest context, teoria sistemelor ecologice se conturează ca un instrument de o valoare incontestabilă, cu rol în identificarea factorilor determinanţi ai crizelor familiale şi înţelegerea interrelaţionării dintre componentele sistemului.
In order to understand the complex process of psychological adaptation of families with an autistic child, the specialized literature has proposed various theoretical frameworks. Adaptation models emphasize the influence of different predictors on individual outcomes. Some researchers considered that the problems of the autistic child represent a source of stress for family members, insisting on studying the child’s characteristics as predictors. The multidimensional models highlight, at the level of the family adaptation process, the factors specific to the disability and the child’s behavior, but also the specifics of the family. Most studies analyze the relationship between the child’s social behavior and the parent’s psychological state only through the lens of the parents’ reports, who are unable to control the subjective perceptions regarding the concrete manifestations of the child. In this context, ecological systems theory emerges as a tool of indisputable value, with a role in identifying the determining factors of family crises and understanding the interrelationship between the components of the system.
