Abstract

The definition of the conceptual terminology of the modern gender theory in the correlation with educational issues, and compliance with international standards (including linguistic) is an important condition for the success on the promotion of gender equality in the society through the education system. Modern gender theory in its application to educational theory and practice promotes the change of the educational paradigm: the transition from the sex-based approach (which reduces the person’s development to its biological female / male content and purpose) to a gender approach (which, by overcoming biological determinism, gives women and men more opportunities for personal and professional self-realization).
