Abstract
The war in Ukraine was generated by the East-West confrontation between Russia
(East) and the US and EU (West), as a result of dynamic changes in the international system.
The impact of this war is multidimensional and covers mainly the political, military
and economic spheres. The Republic of Moldova is affected by this war in close proximity
as well, facing strong threats and challenges to its national security.
