dc.description.abstractThe article highlights the need for continuous professional training of specialized staff in libraries, regardless of the crises caused in society. There are reflected the results of studies on identifying training needs in the European library sector. The author mentions the experience of organizing the process of continuous training of specialized staff in the libraries of the Republic of Moldova during the pandemic crisis. The author presents statistical data on the participation of librarians in the Republic of Moldova in formal and nonformal training during 2020. There are identified the deficit of specific professional skills of librarians in the stage due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19.en
