Abstract

This scientific article is dedicated to the reconceptualization of the legal-criminal pro- tection of religious freedom and the inadmissibility of confessional intolerance in the cri- minal law of the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of this scientific message consists in the analysis of the weak points of the content of art. On this occasion, they were subjected to a thorough analysis: European legislation on the provision of religious freedom, criminal and extra-criminal legislation in the field of protection of religious freedom in the Republic of Moldova, as well as contemporary doctrine in recent years. Following the study, certain legislative gaps were identified that can be easily removed by reviewing and reformulating the incriminating framework of criminal acts that affect the person’s religious freedom. The conclusions of the law lata and the recommendations of lege ferenda created under the rule of the latest legislative trends at European level can be taken into account in the legislative process.
