Unităţile polilexicale stabile – mijloace glotice de oglindire a realităţii istorice [Articol]

Abstract

Problema semnului glotic este una comună tuturor limbilor, care provoacă tratări şi controverse în cercetările de specialitate. Studierea acestei teorii, în mod tradiţional, s-a axat pe unităţile monolexicale. În studiul de față ne propunem cercetarea problemei referitoare la unităţile polilexicale stabile ale limbii versus realitățile istorice care le-au generat. La apariţia lor, unitățile polilexicale stabile (UPS) au fost iniţial unităţi de limbă denominative sau conotative. Pe parcurs, odată cu evoluţia limbii, unele UPS au rămas motivate, vorbitorul făcând asociația cu faptul istoric concret. Altele, iniţial motivate, devin demotivate cu timpul, legătura cu realitatea istorică nefiind înțeleasă de către purtătorii limbii. În cazul dat, sensul lor este realizat de persoanele culte, de persoane cu o pregătire specială, fie etimologică, fie istorică. UPS pot fi considerate (în mod convenţional) motivate în arbitrarul lor.

The issue of the glotic sign is one common to all languages and it generates discussions and controversies in specialized research. Traditionally, the study of this theory has focused on monolexical units. In this paper, we aim to explore the issue related to stable polylexical units of the language versus the historical realities that generated them. At their emergence, stable polylexical units (SPUs) were initially either denominative or connotative language units. Over time, with the evolution of the language, some SPUs remained motivated, with speakers making associations with the concrete historical fact. Others, though initially motivated, become demotivated over time, the connection with the historical reality no longer being understood by the speakers. In such cases, their meaning is grasped by educated individuals, those with specialized training, whether etymological or historical. SPUs can be considered (conventionally) motivated in their arbitrariness.
