The role of artificial intelligence in the high economic education [Articol]

Abstract

Purpose of the article: to analyze researches in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and to determine its role in the teaching of economic disciplines at the university. The existing advantages and challenges are examined, and the prospects for applying AI in higher education are assessed. Emphasis is placed on identifying the economic and ethical aspects of introducing AI instruments into the economic education system, based on the subjects of application. Methodology: The scientific and practical works of foreign researchers in the field of AI in the education were used as the methodological basis of the study. Research methods such as analysis (to reveal the pros and cons of adopting AI in economic education), induction, synthesis and survey were used. Conclusions: It is necessary to identify not only the advantages, but the main risks of AI; to teach students how to interact rationally with AI technology, particularly with the Chat GPT; to retrain of academic staff. To do this, it is recommended to create a government program for the use of AI in Moldovan universities. Originality: Based on a survey of students and teachers at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the State University of Moldova, their level of satisfaction with the use of AI instruments in the educational process was determined.
