CLASIFICAREA REPREZENTĂRILOR SOCIALE: CÂTEVA REFLECȚII ȘI DEZBATERI TEORETICE

Abstract

În contextul studiilor privind reprezentările sociale (RS), clasificarea propusă de S.Moscovici, pare să fi fost mai puțin în atenția cercetătorilor din domeniu, existândrelativ puține studii care fac referire la această clasificare. Însă, chiar și atunci când estemenționată, cercetătorii se rezumă doar la o succintă descriere a studiului din 1988, încare S.Moscovici prezintă lapidar această clasificare și la care nu a mai revenit ulteriorpentru a o dezvolta. Dacă în primii ani această clasificare a fost oarecum „abandonată”,în ultimii ani este readusă în atenția cercetătorilor, suscitând dezbateri legate de faptuldacă putem să vorbim de trei tipuri distincte, așa cum au fost descrise de S.Moscovici,sau de trei etape diferite în evoluția unei RS, în funcție de transformările contextuluisociopolitic și a dinamicilor intergrupale. Deși mai puțin abordate în cadrul unor studiiempirice, credem că tipurile de RS identificate de S.Moscovici permit o mai bunăînțelegere a interacțiunilor intergrupuri și a controverselor sociale. În contextul acesteidiscuții, ne propunem să analizăm câteva aspecte privind modul în care suntconceptualizate tipurile de RS și care sunt cele mai importante dezbateri teoretice.In the context of social representations’ (SR) studies, the taxonomy proposed by S.Moscovici seems to have been less in the attention of researchers in the field, as there are relatively few studies that address it. But, even when it is mentioned, the researchers limit themselves to a short description of the study from 1988, in which S.Moscovici presented this taxonomy only briefly and which he did manage to further develop. In the first years this taxonomy was somewhat "abandoned", in recent years it has been brought back to the attention of researchers, raising debates about whether we can speak of three distinct types, as described by S.Moscovici, or of three different stages in the evolution of a SR, depending on the transformations of the sociopolitical context and intergroup dynamics. Although less addressed in empirical studies, we believe that the types of SR identified by S.Moscovici allow a better understanding of intergroup interactions and social controversies. In light of these considerations, we aim to analyse particular aspects regarding how the types of SR are conceptualized and what are the most important theoretical debates.
