Parliamentary control, along with the legislative function, is an essential prerogative of any democratic legislative forum. The function of parliamentary control resides in a set of democratic procedures and mechanisms through which the activities of the Government, of some authorities and public institutions are subject to political control, as well as the investigation of the factual situations with major impact for the interests of the state and of the society, incompatible with the political imperatives and economic, with the law or public morals.en
