Regarding the order of application of the complementary punishments, according to our criminal provisions on which we intend to make a generalization, we mention that the complementary punishments are those punishments that come to complete the main punishment. They cannot be applied independently, so they will always accompany a main punishment. Complementary punishments are regulated punishments in order to supplement the effects of the main punishments. Given the fact that the complementary punishments are applied by the courts only in addition to the main punishments, then the latter come to fulfill, together with the main punishments, the functions of the punishment stipulated in paragraph 2 art.61 CP of the Republic of Moldova.en
