Abstract

The purpose of the work stems from the need to enrich the knowledge on the cultivation of woody species less common in the usual assortment of plants, in order to maintain the landscape in a changing climate and growth at anthropic stress. appropriate culture technologies and effective ways of valorization will contribute to the promotion of the species presented for the protection of forest plantations. The main objectives of the research are: the study of the species Ptelea trifoliata L.; the analysis of the natural conditions in which the planting of the species took place; the diversifcation of the native flora by introducing species from other areas and the study of the possibility of capitalization of the presented species. It is found during the analysis that there is still not enough interest in the given species. This species has the potential to add diversity to horticultural landscapes as a cold-resistant tree or shrub with attractive and fragrant flowers that draw attention to a diverse community of insects. It has some value for wildlife, landscape, and forest protection.
